About The Position
This is a hospital-based outpatient occupational therapy position focusing on lymphedema patient care. The therapist will work within the outpatient rehab department, collaborating with OTs, OTAs, PTs, PTAs, and SLPs, as well as a wound care clinic. The role involves working with a compression fitter and lymphedema vendors to support patients across a wide age range (young adults to geriatrics) with various diagnoses, specifically those requiring lymphedema care. The center is located at Piedmontwellnesscenter.com.
Requirements
- Lymphedema Certification in-hand
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- GA OT License (OK to pend at submission)
- NBCOT required (able to screen over)
- Full compliance required to start on time
Responsibilities
- Work with OTs/OTAs, PT/PTAs and SLP on a regular basis along wound care clinic.
- Work with compression fitter and lymphedema vendors that support the lymphedema patient population.
- Work with young/middle adults to geriatrics, mix of diagnoses including patients requiring lymphedema care.
- Floating within facility/scope of practice to Piedmont Fayette (Acute Care Inpatient facility) as needed.
