Therapy/Rehabilitation - PT Outpatient
About The Position
Provide outpatient physical therapy services in an acute hospital setting to neuro and orthopedic patients, including medically complex patients. This is a 15-week assignment with an ASAP start date. The schedule is either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts during the day. Weekend work is generally not scheduled, though some Saturdays may be required. On-call work is not required. The facility is a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute hospital with 407 staffed beds and is described as a U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital in Alaska. Scrubs are provided, charting is done in Epic, and parking is free. Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted. Pending Alaska licensure is accepted. Time-off requests are reviewed individually upon offer, and all requested time off must be included with the submission.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Alaska PT license; pending license is accepted.
- Candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient physical therapy to neuro and orthopedic patients, including medically complex patients.
- Work within the outpatient therapy setting and meet facility needs within the clinician’s scope, as applicable.
