About The Position

Bradenton Rehabilitation Hospital, opening May 2026, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their team. This role involves independently evaluating patients, determining treatment strategies, and delivering services to maximize function in activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. The therapist will address dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components, utilizing interventions to enhance safety and performance in ADLs, IADLs, education, work, play, leisure, and social participation. The hospital features 60 private patient rooms and two rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work.
• Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components.
• Provides interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.
