About The Position

Pivot Rehabilitation is a therapy delivery and multi-faceted solution management company focused on improving health, advancing care, and lowering costs for aging populations in its communities. The company provides therapy solutions with patients, partners, and clinicians in mind. The Occupational Therapist screens, evaluates, and treats patients; develops measurable goals and treatment plans to support patients’ independence and function; and communicates findings and treatment plans to patients, families, and team members. The position is part-time and located at Pivot at Bel Air at Teravista in Round Rock, Texas.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
Hold a current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
Have good communication skills and relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff.
Be capable of performing the job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and treat patients.
Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
Review patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications.
Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of independence and/or function.
Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
Interpret and communicate evaluation findings and treatment programs to patients, family members, and other team members.
