Occupational Therapist (OT)
About The Position
Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide individualized, patient-centered care in an in-facility setting. The role assesses patients’ needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers occupational therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence. The therapist also trains patients and caregivers in skills that support independence and productivity. The position involves adapting care to individual patient needs and working collaboratively with peers, including making referrals when patients need additional care. The role reports to the Director of Rehab. Powerback describes its services as integrated and individualized, focused on helping patients recover and improve how they feel, move, breathe, and live.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs.
- Develop patient recovery plans.
- Deliver occupational therapy.
- Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
- Adapt care to patient needs and the variety of work settings.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to support patients’ care.
- Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
