About The Position

Avante at Orlando Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for its in-house therapy department. The Occupational Therapist will oversee and coordinate resident assessments and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role provides and directs occupational therapy services to residents, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, documentation, and communication. Services are provided under physicians' orders.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for O.T.R.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
0–3 years of long-term care experience.
Complete background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

Assess residents who may need skilled occupational therapy intervention.
Interpret and communicate assessment results.
Design and execute appropriate treatment plans.
Document daily care according to established guidelines.
Provide and direct resident services, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication.
Oversee and coordinate resident assessments and support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
