About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join a home health team. The Occupational Therapist provides therapy services to patients in their homes, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery for a variety of post-acute conditions. The role requires home health experience and the ability to manage a varied caseload independently. The therapist primarily serves patients in Clark, Edgar, Effingham, Champaign, and Madison counties. Therapists can create their own schedules and adjust visit times as needed. The dress code is any color scrubs or business casual attire.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience, specifically in home health or home care settings.
• Valid Occupational Therapy license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Strong understanding of common diagnoses and treatments for post-acute patients.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients' needs for occupational therapy.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance patients' functional abilities.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and caregivers to support patients' overall well-being.
• Supervise and provide guidance to rehabilitation aides and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as required.
