About The Position
Regency Hospital - Macon is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Occupational Therapist provides compassionate treatment to patients during recovery. This is a PRN/per-diem position in Macon, Georgia, scheduled on weekdays only, with compensation of $55.00 per hour and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. An extensive Occupational Therapist orientation program is offered, and the role may lead to potential full-time opportunities.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Certified BLS or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment.
- Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), as well as OT and COTA students.
- Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
- Monitor patients’ responses to treatment.
- Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
