Occupational Therapist (OT)
About The Position
LTC Therapy Services is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist for its skilled nursing rehabilitation team in Lowell, Massachusetts. The role supports residents in finding practical solutions to daily challenges through individualized treatment and education that promotes independence during recovery and beyond. The Occupational Therapist evaluates residents’ physical function, cognition, and endurance as they relate to daily activities; develops measurable, individualized treatment plans; provides therapy for daily living activities and functional mobility; assesses adaptive equipment needs; and monitors and documents progress. The position also includes clinical supervision of COTAs and collaboration with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license.
- Strong assessment skills and practical, individualized treatment planning.
- Effective communication skills.
- Accurate and timely documentation.

- Skilled nursing or post-acute experience is helpful; new graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate how physical function, cognition, and endurance affect residents’ ability to complete daily activities.
- Develop treatment plans with measurable goals that reflect residents’ routines, priorities, and discharge needs.
- Provide therapy for dressing, bathing, toileting, functional transfers, and upper-extremity use.
- Assess adaptive equipment needs and teach residents and caregivers techniques for safe task completion.
- Monitor progress and revise interventions.
- Provide clinical supervision to COTAs.
- Document evaluations and treatment outcomes.
- Share recommendations with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team.
