About The Position

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an active Texas Occupational Therapist license and at least one year of OT experience. New graduates with Level II clinical experience are welcome to apply. Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation is required, along with current BLS certification. Responsibilities include performing OT evaluations, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing interventions such as ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, and the use of assistive devices. The role also involves monitoring patient progress, modifying treatment plans, providing patient and caregiver education, and participating in care conferences. Strong documentation, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills are essential. The position may also involve supervising OT assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students.

Requirements

  • Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
  • New graduates accepted with Level II clinical experience; Level I observation experience alone is not sufficient
  • LTC or rehabilitation experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience performing OT evaluations and developing individualized plans of care
  • Strong knowledge of ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
  • Experience monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans based on clinical outcomes
  • Ability to provide patient and caregiver education and participate in care conferences
  • Strong documentation, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Ability to supervise and support OT assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as applicable
