About The Position

Goodwin Living is seeking a compassionate, skilled Occupational Therapist to provide home health care to patients. The therapist evaluates and treats difficulties with activities of daily living (ADLs), safety, pain, and quality of life related to illness, injury, or disease. They develop personalized treatment plans and achievable goals in collaboration with patients and caregivers. The role includes coordinating care with the healthcare team, consulting with the Director of Nursing (DON) and other staff, and adjusting care plans as needed. The therapist also evaluates home environments and recommends changes that support recovery and independence, and teaches patients and caregivers home exercises, safety measures, and therapeutic techniques. Pay: Start of Care: $115; Evaluation: $95; Follow-Up: $85; additional $30 per visit on weekends. The position is PRN (as needed).

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOPTA-approved and accredited college or university.
Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Adult CPR certification.
Virginia driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and readily available, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients’ needs in the home health setting, focusing on ADLs, safety, and pain.
Develop personalized treatment plans and achievable goals with patients and caregivers.
Coordinate and communicate with the healthcare team, including consulting with the Director of Nursing and other staff about patient needs.
Adjust care plans as necessary.
