About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, North Carolina. The therapist evaluates patients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities; develops personalized treatment plans to improve functional abilities; and educates patients and families on daily activities, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications. The role also includes maintaining accurate clinical documentation and advocating for patients’ needs and access to community resources, services, and accommodations. Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
- Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance their functional abilities.
- Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
