About The Position

Occupational Therapists help patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Guided by HCA Healthcare’s mission to care for and improve human life, the Occupational Therapist provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to each patient’s goals and capabilities. The role works closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to evaluate patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on treatment throughout recovery. Requirements

Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider Course.
At least three years of experience.
Ability to learn and use a computerized patient care management system.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Effective reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and complete thorough, timely documentation reflecting quality outcomes.
Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to support seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
Provide guidance to therapy assistants or students and uphold HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.
