About The Position

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients across a variety of age groups who have physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases. Treatment techniques may include functional activities, exercise, physical modalities, splinting, perceptual and cognitive training, activities of daily living, and work simulation. The position is per diem, on the day shift, at The Valley Hospital in Paramus.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
No previous experience required.
Current NBCOT certification and recertification.
New Jersey licensure.
Current BLS certification.
Keyboard skills.
Ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to detail.
Effective critical-thinking and analytical skills.
Effective time-management skills to set priorities and perform job-related responsibilities.
Ability to communicate and interact with the health system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members.
Ability to function competently in a changing work environment as patient needs change.
