About The Position

Discovery at Home is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist in Sun City, FL, to serve the Aston Gardens Sun City Center or the Aston Gardens At The Courtyards campuses. This position involves working primarily within assisted and independent living communities, with potential for some home visits within the community. The patient population is primarily geriatric, with cases typically under Medicare Part A Home Health and some Part B.

Requirements

• Graduation from an Occupational Therapy program.
• State license as an Occupational Therapist (eligible for FL state licensure).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Completion of a Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida AHCA requirements (including fingerprinting and background screening through the AHCA Clearinghouse).
• Open to candidates who require sponsorship to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home health is preferred.
• New grad OTs will be supported and mentored.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services within assisted and independent living communities.
• Conduct home visits within the community as needed.
• Manage a caseload of primarily geriatric patients.
• Work with cases under Medicare Part A Home Health and Part B.
• Determine own caseload and work schedule.
• Hone skills with a supportive team.
