About The Position

FeldCare Connects is seeking a self-motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide home health services to adults of all ages in Hickman and surrounding areas as an independent contractor. The posting describes assessment and evaluation of patients’ functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home environment and adaptive equipment needs, and other occupational therapy needs based on medical conditions. Care is provided in accordance with the plan of care and coordinated with the health care team. The role includes leading patients through therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities; monitoring and reporting responses to treatment and changes in condition; and instructing patients, families, caregivers, and health care team members in ways they can assist with therapy. The network offers scheduling flexibility, administrative support, and resources intended to help clinicians succeed and maintain work-life balance.

Requirements

• Ability and enthusiasm to work with people of all ages.
• Occupational Therapist license and registration by the state.
• Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist program.

Responsibilities

• Provide services in accordance with state laws governing occupational therapy practice, the plan of care, and coordination with other members of the health care team.
• Lead patients in therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety.
• Observe, record, and report patients’ responses to treatment and changes in their conditions.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and health care team members in therapy activities they can participate in to assist the patient.
