About The Position

FeldCare Connects is seeking a self-motivated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide home health services to adults of all ages in the Miami Gardens area. The role involves addressing patients’ functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, adaptive equipment needs, and other occupational therapy needs related to their medical conditions. The Occupational Therapist determines the treatment plan, while the assistant provides interventions and helps evaluate patient progress.

The position is for an independent contractor. Clinicians can make their own schedules and choose their preferred service area. FeldCare Connects provides administrative support for assignments, communication, scheduling, care coordination, and quality assurance, and emphasizes independence, work-life balance, and helping people.

Requirements

• Occupational Therapist Assistant license and state registration.
• Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Ability and enthusiasm to work with people of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide services within state laws governing occupational therapy, in accordance with the plan of care and in coordination with other healthcare team members.
• Guide patients in therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety.
• Observe, record, and report patients’ responses to treatment and changes in their conditions.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members on therapy activities they can participate in to assist the patient.
