About The Position

FeldCare Connects is seeking a self-motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide quality home healthcare to patients of all ages in the Oroville area. This is an independent contractor position within FeldCare Connects, an app-based therapy network that connects partner agencies with therapists and uses software to support efficient, effective patient care.

The assistant addresses patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment. Following the treatment plan based on the OT's assessment and evaluation, the assistant provides interventions to improve and enhance patient well-being and evaluates patient progress. Services are provided in accordance with state laws, the plan of care, and coordination with other members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Ability and enthusiasm to work with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide services within the scope of state laws governing Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, in accordance with the plan of care and in coordination with other healthcare team members.
• Help patients use therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety.
• Observe, record, and report patients' responses to treatment and changes in their condition.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members in therapy activities they can use to assist the patient.
• Carry out the OT-developed treatment plan, provide interventions, and evaluate patient progress.
