COTA Occupational Therapy Assistant for Home Health
About The Position
FeldCare Connects, an app-based therapy network, is seeking a self-motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide quality home healthcare to patients of all ages in the Canyon Country area. This is an independent contractor position. The assistant addresses patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment. Based on the occupational therapist’s assessment and evaluation, the assistant follows the treatment plan, provides interventions to improve and enhance patient well-being, and evaluates patient progress.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Hold a California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
- Ability and enthusiasm to work with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities
- Provide services within the scope of state laws governing Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, in accordance with the plan of care and in coordination with other members of the healthcare team.
- Help patients use therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety.
- Observe, record, and report patients’ responses to treatment and changes in their conditions.
- Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members in therapy activities they can use to assist the patient.
