PRN Occupational Therapist Assistant - Acute Care
About The Position
PT Solutions is hiring Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) in Tampa, FL, to work with Advent Health Carrollwood. This role focuses on providing rehabilitation therapy services, expanding access to transformative care, and advancing innovative therapy practices. As an Acute Care Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will prepare equipment for treatment, assist Occupational Therapists with rehabilitative activities, establish strong patient relationships to help them exceed functional goals, and demonstrate positive connections with patients, families, fellow clinicians, and hospital team members. You will also build and maintain relationships with physicians, case management, and nursing staff.
Requirements
- Graduate ACOTE approved occupational therapy assistant program
- Current or pending state licensure
- Basic Life Support certification
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment for treatment and assist an Occupational Therapist with rehabilitative activities for patients
- Establish strong relationships with each patient so that they have ability to exceed their functional goals
- Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, patient families, fellow clinicians, and other hospital team members
- Build and maintain relationships throughout the hospital (I.e. physicians, case management, nurses, etc)
