About The Position
We are seeking a qualified Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to provide locum tenens coverage. This role involves providing 24-hour call coverage for the OB/GYN department, including labor and delivery. The physician will manage vaginal and cesarean deliveries, provide comprehensive care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, and perform gynecologic surgical procedures as needed. This position requires collaboration with nursing and midwifery staff while independently managing call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Current EPIC experience required
- MUSC credentialing checklist required
- Current medical license
- Board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Experience with vaginal deliveries
- Experience with Cesarean sections
- Experience with gynecologic surgeries (e.g., hysterectomy, D&C)
- Experience managing antepartum and postpartum patients
- Experience with Level 2 nursery newborn care
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for OB/GYN department, including labor and delivery.
- Manage vaginal and cesarean deliveries, ensuring maternal and neonatal safety.
- Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care for patients.
- Perform gynecologic surgical procedures as needed.
