About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for an Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician in Kearney, NE. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, requiring 24-hour call coverage during specific periods between October 16, 2026, and April 16, 2027. The coverage is needed due to a gap in existing agreements. The physician will be responsible for daily rounding, responding to emergency deliveries (vaginal and C-section), providing gynecology consultations, managing pregnancy-related conditions through postpartum, and performing major and minor abdominal and vaginal surgical procedures.
Requirements
- BC/BE in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active NE license or Universal License (IMLC) with active LOQ
- Hospital Privileges Required
Responsibilities
- Perform daily rounding on all patients admitted to the OB/GYN service
- Respond to emergency department for precipitous deliveries, including vaginal and C-section
- Provide gynecology consultation and treatment as needed in the emergency department
- Manage and treat conditions occurring during pregnancy through postpartum
- Perform major and minor abdominal and vaginal surgical procedures on the female pelvis
