About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for an Obstetrics & Gynecology physician in Hartsville, SC. The role is inpatient with a focus on call-only coverage due to a scheduling need. The coverage period is ASAP and ongoing. The physician will be responsible for 24-hour beeper call shifts with a 10-minute response time. The facility handles approximately 540 annual deliveries and sees 15-25 patients per day. Responsibilities include OB inpatient and outpatient care, emergent GYN surgeries, and ED consults. Rounding on assigned patients is included. The hospital has 116 beds, a Trauma Level III, and a Nursery Level II. Infants weighing less than 1,500 grams are transferred to a higher level of care. Hospital privileges are required, but temporary privileges are available. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Requirements

• Licensed in SC
• Board Certified (BC)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Local candidate

Responsibilities

• Provide OB inpatient and outpatient care.
• Perform emergent GYN surgeries.
• Conduct ED consults.
• Round on assigned patients.
