About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for an Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician in Paducah, KY. The role involves providing on-call coverage for inpatient OB/GYN emergencies, including routine and complicated deliveries, C-sections, VBACs, and GYN call coverage. The coverage period is from November 25, 2026, ongoing, with 6-7 shifts per month, each consisting of 24-hour beeper call. The average daily volume is 1-6 adult inpatients. The facility utilizes EPIC EMR and offers hospital labor and delivery facilities, onsite labs, and ultrasound. Temporary hospital privileges are available, with a credentialing timeline of 90 days that can be expedited.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible – American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active KY License or Universal License (IMLC)
• Active DEA Certification
• BLS certification
• Must be available for coverage Nov 25-29

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call coverage for OB/GYN emergencies
• Perform routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps deliveries
• Make decisions and perform Cesarean sections as needed
• Manage complicated deliveries including breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• Provide GYN call coverage including repair of lacerations
