About The Position

Women’s Care is recruiting an OB/GYN Hospitalist for its established team at Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, Florida. The hospitalist program provides 24-hour obstetrical and gynecological coverage at hospitals in the Tampa Bay area. Physicians are employed directly by the hospitalist program and typically work seven 24-hour shifts per month for full-time employment. There are no call responsibilities, and Women’s Care physician staff provides backup coverage when needed. The Brandon Regional Hospital site has a Level III NICU, MFM on call, 15 labor and delivery rooms, and 29 mother-and-baby rooms. Women’s Care describes its program as offering physicians the opportunity to work scheduled shifts and be off when not working. Women’s Care is a physician-led organization with more than 25 years of experience in women’s health. Its network includes more than 100 outpatient locations across Florida, Arizona, and Kentucky, and over 400 physicians and advanced practice providers. The organization reports welcoming more than 25,000 babies annually and providing care to over 1 million patients.

Requirements

MD or DO.
Three years of practice experience.
Unrestricted state medical license.
Unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain one.
OB/GYN board certified or board eligible (ABOG or AOBOG).
Board certification required within five years of eligibility.
BLS.

Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour obstetrical and gynecological coverage at the hospital.
Work an average of seven 24-hour shifts per month.
Provide hospitalist coverage as part of the established team at Brandon Regional Hospital.
