About The Position
UMass Memorial Health is seeking an OB/GYN Physician for a well-established practice in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The role is based in an office-based, independent private-practice-like clinic, with inpatient obstetrics at UMass Memorial Medical Center, a 780-bed tertiary care center in Worcester with a Level 3 NICU, dedicated OB anesthesia, and OB/GYN residents. The position is open to new graduates and experienced physicians. The position offers a flexible four-day work week with 1-in-8 call, a well-established patient base, a strong referral system, and robust support staff. Teaching opportunities are available with OB/GYN residents and nurse practitioner students. The listed hiring range is $300,000–$350,000; the final offer may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. The practice is in Shrewsbury, a Worcester suburb about 10 minutes from UMass Memorial Medical Center. Central Massachusetts offers safe communities and highly ranked schools, and the area is within 30 miles of Boston.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Current Massachusetts State Medical License or eligibility to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Provide obstetric and gynecologic care in the Shrewsbury practice.
- Provide inpatient obstetric care at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
