About The Position

As an OB/GYN with Legacy Medical Group Portland Obstetrics and Gynecology, you will join a collaborative team of physicians providing high-quality care in downtown Portland, OR. Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital, celebrating its 150th year, hosts the oldest Labor and Delivery unit in Portland and is known for excellent collegiality among departments and a staff committed to the community. This OB/Gyn generalist position involves working in clinic, on Labor & Delivery, and in the main operating room. While on call, you will cover deliveries for clinic patients and collaborate with other private groups. You will also be responsible for backup when a second physician is needed for cesareans, complex GYN cases, or due to high volume, and will alternately cover the emergency room/hospital for consultations. The position offers a market competitive salary, additional compensation for extensive call, and incentives for quality and citizenship. It features a 4-day work week plus call (1:7), a $4,000 annual CME allowance including 40 hours of CME, and relocation assistance (pending eligibility). The hospital provides Maternal Fetal Medicine for co-management and detailed ultrasounds, and Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland supports Maternal/Neonatal transfers with a Level 1 nursery and immediate on-site Tele-baby NICU team support. Subspecialist support from GYN Oncology, MIGS, urology, and general surgery is also available.

Requirements

  • Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent
  • Residency completed in OB-GYN
  • Clinical experience in OB-GYN, in both office and inpatient settings
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association required

Responsibilities

  • Actively involved covering deliveries for clinic patients while on call
  • Collaborating with other private groups while on call
