About The Position

Crouse Health’s Nutritional Services Department oversees hospital cafeteria services and prepares and serves patient meals that are nutritionally adequate and follow diet modifications prescribed by patients’ medical providers. The Nutritional Services Worker performs duties across cafeteria and hospital areas, including tray pass, dish room, tray line, and patient areas. The position is located at Crouse Health’s Commonwealth location, 6010 E Molloy Rd, Syracuse, NY 13211. The pay range is $19.38–$24.52 per hour, based on experience. Scheduled shifts include 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays and other shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills, including completing tasks via email using Microsoft Outlook and completing annual educational requirements via the internet.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nutritional services duties across cafeteria and hospital areas, including tray pass, dish room, tray line, and patient areas.
• Promptly replenish supplies for designated work areas.
• Accurately take inventory on patient care units to maintain supply par levels.
• Provide a high level of customer service to patients, guests, visitors, and employees.
