About The Position
Under general supervision, the Nutrition Service Assistant helps prepare and serve food in the school cafeteria and cleans kitchen equipment, utensils, and the work area. The position also performs other related duties as assigned. The available shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., with a half-hour lunch.
Requirements
- High school diploma accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education, or equivalent.
- Submit a resume and one signed professional letter of recommendation with the application.
- If selected, provide proof of high school completion or equivalent.
- Complete TB clearance and fingerprinting as pre-employment requirements, at the employee's cost if hired.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a food safety certification program reviewed by the District.
- Employment in a school nutrition program or the food service industry.
