About The Position

The Assistant Cook assists with inventory tracking, preparation, and serving of food items and maintains kitchen cleanliness. This position is at Glencoe High School and is scheduled for 5.75 hours on a 10-month school calendar. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with federally recognized holidays off and school breaks and summers off.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
Proficient use of computers and internet-based applications, including email and systems applications.
Valid Food Handler certification.
Experience using and maintaining industrial kitchen equipment.
Knowledge of ingredients, supplies, and methods used in cooking.
Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety regulations for chemical use in the kitchen.
