About The Position

The Assistant Cook assists with inventory tracking and the preparation and serving of food items, and maintains kitchen cleanliness. This position is at Minter Bridge Elementary, works 5.75 hours per day, and follows a 10-month school calendar. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with federally recognized holidays and school breaks off as described in the posting.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency using computers and internet-based applications, including email and systems applications.
Valid Food Handler certification.
Experience using and maintaining industrial kitchen equipment.
Knowledge of ingredients, supplies, and methods used in cooking.
Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety regulations for chemical use in the kitchen.
