About The Position

Under the direction of the assigned administrator and the general supervision of a teacher and/or other certificated employee, the Bilingual Paraprofessional provides instructional support in Spanish to limited- or non-English-speaking students to help accomplish learning objectives. The position is at Lathrop High School and is scheduled for 5.75 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., with a half-hour lunch. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education, or equivalent.
• Forty-eight semester units, an associate degree or higher, or successful completion of proficiency requirements established by the District.
• Submit a resume and one signed letter of recommendation.
• Submit proof of an associate or bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 semester units, or a certificate showing successful completion of a basic paraprofessional proficiency test.
• Candidates submitting college degrees or transcripts from outside the United States must provide a certified evaluation verifying equivalency.
• If hired, obtain TB clearance and complete fingerprinting at the employee's cost.
