About The Position

Eventide-Linden is seeking part-time Nutrition & Culinary Assistants to work in a new restaurant in Senior Living. The schedule includes various days throughout the week, every other weekend, and a holiday rotation. The role provides meal service to tenants in sanitary conditions and in a cheerful, timely manner. It involves communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to support the operations of the Nutrition and Culinary Services Department.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.

Nice To Haves

Prior food service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Offer and serve menu choices to tenants in a cheerful and respectful manner.
Follow portion control standards.
Clean and sanitize dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals, and perform other assigned cleaning duties.
Operate equipment correctly, safely, and sanitarily.
Prepare menu items as assigned.
Check daily menu items to verify that necessary items are prepared and labeled.
Store leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards.
Perform assigned duties according to appropriate time schedules.
Operate the dish machine according to directions, including pre-soaking and sorting dishes and utensils.
Operate the till, handle cash, and provide change.
