About The Position

Eventide Sheyenne Crossings is seeking a part-time Nutrition & Culinary Assistant. The role provides meal service to tenants in sanitary conditions and in a cheerful, timely manner. The assistant communicates, coordinates, and cooperates with others to support the operations of the Nutrition and Culinary Services Department. Various hours and shifts are available, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Prior food service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Offer and serve menu choices to tenants in a cheerful and respectful manner.
• Follow portion control standards.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals, as well as complete other assigned cleaning duties.
• Operate equipment correctly, safely, and sanitarily.
• Prepare various menu items as assigned.
• Check daily menu items to verify that all necessary items are prepared and labeled.
• Store leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards.
• Perform assigned duties according to appropriate time schedules.
• Operate the dish machine according to directions, including pre-soaking and sorting dishes and utensils.
