About The Position
Eventide-Linden is seeking a full-time Nutrition & Culinary Assistant to provide meal service to tenants in a new senior living restaurant. The role supports the Nutrition and Culinary Services Department by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to provide meals in sanitary conditions and in a cheerful, timely manner. The schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on various days throughout the week, every other weekend, and a rotating holiday schedule.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Nice To Haves
- Prior food service experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Offer and serve menu choices to tenants in a cheerful and respectful manner.
- Follow portion control standards.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used for meal service, and perform other assigned cleaning duties.
- Operate equipment correctly, safely, sanitarily, and respectfully.
- Prepare assigned menu items.
- Check daily menu items to verify that all necessary items are prepared and labeled.
- Store leftovers appropriately according to food-handling standards.
- Perform assigned duties according to appropriate time schedules.
- Operate the dish machine according to directions; pre-soak and sort dishes and utensils.
- Operate the till, handle cash, and provide change.
