Nutrition Attendant
About The Position
Under general supervision, the Nutrition Attendant acts as a liaison between patients of all ages, nursing, and Nutritional Care Services. The role performs menu activities for infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and requires both clinical nutrition and customer service skills. Duties include menu modification, delivery, collection, and tallies; interviewing patients about food preferences to identify nutritional risk and special food needs; tray delivery and assembly; and participation in performance improvement activities. The position is with Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, part of Providence, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, mutual respect, and empowering caregivers.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in a food service or customer-oriented field.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from an accredited program.
