Nutrition Attendant
About The Position
In accordance with the assigned position, the Nutrition Attendant performs a variety of clerical and technical duties in support of patient nutrition. Duties may include orienting patients to the Room Service program, receiving meal orders and entering them into a computer, monitoring patients’ menu selections, and assembling and delivering orders. The role requires taking orders directly from customers and reading, interpreting, and expediting orders in an organized and timely manner. The attendant must work under pressure and stringent time constraints while remaining calm and organized. Direct customer service and contact with customers in retail areas are also required. The role is with Providence St. Peter Hospital. Requirements
- National Food Handler Card issued by the applicable state, county, or city authority upon hire.
- Two years of related food preparation experience.
- Ability to take customer orders directly and read, interpret, and expedite them in an organized and timely manner.
- Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure and stringent time constraints.
- Ability to provide direct customer service and interact with customers in retail areas.
