About The Position

The Nutrition Assistant works in Food and Nutrition Services, cleaning dietary areas and washing dishes. The role includes setting up trays neatly and accurately according to diet orders, checking transport carts before delivery, washing and cutting vegetables and fruits, following food safety protocols, and assisting cooks. The position has 8-hour shifts and is per diem.

Requirements

• Maintain a current San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Certification or Serv Safe Certification.
• Obtain current BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Understand English, both written and verbal.
• Read and follow directions for dietary plans.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior foodservice and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned cleaning and cooking duties.
• Maintain and stock supplies.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
• Clean dietary areas and wash dishes.
