About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist with medication preparation and distribution, including preparing medications for automatic dispensing cabinets, repackaging medications into unit-dose blister packs, and performing medication inventory functions. The technician also participates in documenting medication histories at patient admission and assists the pharmacist with routine hospital pharmacy duties. The role adheres to Butler Hospital service standards and general hospital policies, guiding principles, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Must hold a Rhode Island Pharmacist Technician 2 License.
- Skills in math, typing, and computers are necessary.

- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
