About The Position

The pharmacy technician works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services to special populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and young adults. The technician assists with pharmacy operations in compliance with department and hospital policies and procedures to support optimal pharmaceutical care. Responsibilities include preparing, dispensing, distributing, and delivering medications, including non-sterile and sterile products.

Requirements

• Complete and maintain all competencies and trainings required for the role.
• High school diploma or GED, or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) upon hire or within the first 12 months of employment.
• Analytical, collaborative, computer, customer service, communication, interpersonal, multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; and ability to work as a strong team player.

Responsibilities
