About The Position

MedVet is a fast-growing emergency and specialty veterinary provider with practices nationwide. The Nursing Veterinary Technician Assistant supports the clinical team in delivering quality patient care. The role involves assisting veterinary technicians with patient care, documentation, stable-patient oversight, and restraint; maintaining clinical supplies and clean treatment areas; and supporting laundry needs. The nursing department requires close patient supervision to help ensure treatment plans are followed. The position is seasonal, with a proposed schedule of Thursday through Saturday, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• Prior veterinary experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinary technicians in ensuring patients receive quality care.
• Help ensure patient documentation is accurate and complete.
• Assist with oversight and care of stable patients.
• Assist veterinary technicians with patient restraint.
• Restock supplies for clinical teams.
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage department laundry needs.
