About The Position

MedVet is seeking a collaborative, driven Nursing Technician Assistant for seasonal overnight work. The Nursing department provides ongoing patient supervision to help ensure treatment plans are followed. The role is suited to someone who can recognize patient distress and respond appropriately, assist with patient recovery, and support client follow-up and education. The proposed schedule is Thursday through Saturday, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette.
Ability to multitask, self-motivate, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Ability to work successfully both as a team member and autonomously.
Sense of urgency and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to restrain patients effectively.
Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Prior veterinary experience required.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinary technicians in ensuring patients receive quality care.
Help ensure patient documentation is accurate and complete.
Assist with oversight and care of stable patients.
Assist veterinary technicians with patient restraint.
Restock supplies for clinical teams.
Keep treatment areas clean and manage departmental laundry needs.
