About The Position

The Nursing Technician Assistant joins the clinical team and supports patient care in a busy nursing department. Patients require ongoing supervision to help ensure treatment plans are followed. The role is suited to someone who can recognize patient distress and respond appropriately, assist with recovery, and contribute to client follow-up and education.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette.
Ability to multitask, self-motivation, and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work successfully as a team member and autonomously.
Sense of urgency and critical-thinking skills.
Effective patient restraint skills.
Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Prior veterinary experience required.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinary technicians in ensuring patients receive quality care.
Assist in ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
Assist with oversight and care of stable patients.
Assist veterinary technicians with patient restraint.
Manage restocking supplies for clinical teams.
Maintain clean treatment areas and manage the department’s laundry needs.
