About The Position

The Nursing Technician Assistant supports the clinical team in delivering quality patient care. The role involves assisting veterinary technicians, monitoring stable patients, helping with restraint and accurate documentation, and maintaining clean and well-stocked treatment areas. The Nursing department requires constant patient supervision to ensure treatment plans are followed. This position suits someone who can recognize patient distress and respond appropriately, assist with recovery, and support client follow-up and education.

• Ability to multitask, self-motivation, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work successfully both as a team member and autonomously.
• Sense of urgency and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective patient restraint skills.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior veterinary experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinary technicians in ensuring patients receive quality care.
• Help ensure patient documentation is accurate and complete.
• Assist with oversight and care of stable patients.
• Assist veterinary technicians with patient restraint.
• Restock supplies for clinical teams.
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage the department’s laundry needs.
