About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor acts as a resource for nursing staff throughout the hospital and has authority to make decisions regarding nursing practice within Massachusetts law and established unit, department, and hospital policies. The position also carries standard management responsibilities, including staff supervision, scheduling, orientation, training, budget and operational oversight, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement. The posting includes a separate addendum for supervisors in maternity, neonatal services, labor and delivery, and women’s health. Those responsibilities include coordinating unit-level clinical practice and resources, monitoring staffing and patient-care needs, supporting communication and patient flow across units, and facilitating safety huddles and daily briefings. The position is listed for 24 hours per week, with scheduled hours of 7 a.m.–7 p.m. on weekends and holidays and 3 p.m.–11 p.m. on weekdays. The work is sedentary and performed indoors in a patient-care and normal office environment. The stated hiring range is $111,384.00–$200,491.20 based on a 40-hour schedule; compensation for reduced schedules is prorated, and a signing bonus may be available subject to eligibility confirmation.
