Nursing Supervisor (RN) - PMs (3pm - 11:30pm)
About The Position
Hartgrove Behavioral Health System, recognized as one of the “Top 100 Best Psychiatric Hospitals in the Country” by US News & World Report and the first hospital in the nation to receive the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for Trauma-Informed Care and Neuropsychiatry, is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse for the Nursing Supervisor position. This role involves an 8-hour shift (3pm - 11:30pm), including every other weekend. The Nursing Supervisor provides administrative and clinical supervision to all hospital staff during their shift and acts as a liaison to department directors and administration to ensure coordinated and efficient operations. This position is committed to promoting patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Hartgrove Behavioral Hospital and requires the ability to manage units providing care to children and adolescents with mental health issues.
Requirements
- Graduate from a professional nursing program with an active Illinois RN License in good standing.
- Three-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing.
- Possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management, and have CPR training.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Must be self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is customer focused.
Nice To Haves
- Previous clinical supervisor role in a psychiatric setting preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are a plus.
Responsibilities
