About The Position

Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing healthcare organization. The Instrument Tech disinfects, sterilizes, and assembles surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. The position requires the ability to recognize surgical instruments and instrument trays typically assembled in the applicable area.

The work hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED), or post-secondary education.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as an Instrument Technician is preferred.
• For inpatient sterile processing: CRCST or CSPDT certification.
• For outpatient sterile processing: CRCST, CSPDT, or CASSPT certification.
• For GI Labs: CFER certification is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Disinfect surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Sterilize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assemble surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Recognize surgical instruments and instrument trays typically assembled in the applicable area.
