About The Position

Canfield Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is recruiting a Nursing Staff Scheduler to coordinate nursing staff coverage and help ensure residents receive the highest degree of quality care. The role follows the master staffing schedule, prepares and revises daily staffing sheets, coordinates schedule information with the Director of Nursing (DON) or designee, and administers nursing staff attendance and paid time off. A current CNA license is preferred.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Prior staff scheduling experience required.

• Current CNA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow the master staffing schedule created by the DON or designee.
• Communicate continuously with the DON or designee to coordinate information and maintain the accuracy of the nursing schedule.
• Prepare daily staffing sheets and revise them as needed.
• Follow center policy and DON guidelines for staffing numbers and assignments, including protocols for agency and in-house pool use.
• Provide the DON with a weekly list of vacant nursing positions.
• Administer attendance and paid time off for nursing staff.
• Perform other general or specific administrative staffing duties as required.
• Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
• Work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
