About The Position
Keystone Woods, a Sonida Senior Living community in Anderson, Indiana, is an assisted living community providing quality care to residents. The Medication Aide is responsible for preparing and administering residents’ medications as ordered by physicians and in accordance with professional standards. The role may also supervise CNAs as directed and supports residents with personal care, daily activities, and monitoring of health indicators.
Requirements
- Must be licensed in Indiana as a QMA.
- Must maintain current and unencumbered licensure.
Responsibilities
- Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and in accordance with professional standards of medication administration.
- May supervise CNAs as directed.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves, and help them travel to the bathroom or with showers and baths.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including serving meals, feeding residents as needed, ambulating, turning and positioning residents, and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Check vital signs and weight, test urine, and record intake and output information.
