About The Position

Georgetowne Place is a retirement community in Fort Wayne, Indiana, providing care to residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. The Nursing QMA is responsible for preparing and administering residents’ medications as ordered by physicians and in accordance with professional medication-administration standards. The role may also supervise CNAs as directed and assists residents with personal hygiene, activities of daily living, and monitoring their health and stability.

Requirements

• Must be licensed in the state as a Medication Aide and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and according to professional medication-administration standards.
• Supervise CNAs as directed.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, including use of bedpans and urinals, bathing, backrubs, shampooing, shaving, and travel to the bathroom.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including serving meals, feeding as needed, ambulating, turning, positioning, and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Monitor resident stability by checking vital signs and weight, testing urine, and recording intake and output.
